Bunch of Bull

Thursday was the IBEP bull sale. IBEP (Indiana Beef Evaluation Program) is a Purdue program that evaluates bulls for performance information and breeding soundness. The Extension Educators in my area (inlcuding me) help at the monthly weigh days, freeze branding the auction eligible bulls, and then at the sale. At the end of the test, the top indexing bulls are auctioned off. It's fun- and I've learned a lot about beef cattle in the past few years. And if I do say so myself, I'm pretty good at branding!

Ah, branding, yes, but have you ever had the pleasure of "collecting". I'll tell you what, when you see a giant bull weiner coming at you as he tries to mount a "teaser" female, then have to grab it, direct it away from where it's "supposed to go", and then put it in a fake plastic "who ha" to get his "stuff"....you're whole idea of sex will never be the same again. Bad memories and scarring visuals are flooding back as I write....
