Nick and I took a vacation day on Friday. After meeting with our wedding photographer to plan our wedding album, we headed to Santa Claus for the Easter weekend. Imagine my delight when I saw this in Nancy's front yard!!

Then we headed over to check out the new roof on the barn. Nick's dad has had some area amish working on the barn since last summer. Just a few more final touch up's (like a door) and it'll be just like new!
And my favorite part of the weekend.... picking wild daffodils in the woods by Nick's grandparents house! I just love daffodils- probably because it's the first splash of color in the spring after a winter of brown and gray! I now have a beautiful yellow bouquet of daffodils on my kitchen counter- with a couple hyacinths to make our house smell like spring!
