A Very Busy Week

Hello all my loyal readers....
I'm sure you've noticed a lack of posts recently. It's that time of year again when I go MIA....even Nick hasn't seen much of me in the last couple of weeks.
To give you an idea of what I've been up to...
Monday- I gave a three hour presentation on Plant Science to the Master Gardener class in Crawford County. I was asked to do the presentation on Thursday of last week. I spent a good part of the weekend refreshing my memory on topics I haven't looked at - or thought about - since grad school. Nor did I really wish to dig that deep in my memory files. Photosynthesis, respiration, and transpiration... oh MY!
Monday night I had a meeting...
Tuesday I scrambled to catch up on things I needed for my program Thursday. Tuesday night I had a meeting....but was home early enough to vent my frustrations and take a bubble bath. A much needed bubble bath...with lots of hot water....and bubbles. Sorry about that water bill, Nick!
Wednesday Nick and I helped host the area Corn and Soybean day for about 200 producers....then it was on to plan commission. God does love me though- and blessed me with a short and uneventful plan commission meeting. I was home in time to watch the second half of the Illini vs. Michigan game. Go Illini!!
Today I am supposed to be preparing for my program tonight and the meeting tomorrow - I'll be teaching my co-workers how to blog- I guess this could be considered preparation- HA! And Monday I'm off to Hort Congress.
Phew. I'm pooped.
But the good news is I get to spend all of next week at a conference with Nick. It's kind of sad when a person has to attend a conference for work to spend time with their spouse.... but I'll take whatever I can get!

Hey now! I would have came over and done "a guest lecture" for the meeting. Then I couldn't have checked out Santa Claus!
