Chicken Hearts

Last night for dinner I made roasted chicken. Yum! Whenever I make roasted chicken (in my official chicken roasting pan), I always think of my granny because that is one of our favorite meals to make. So easy... and so yummy!
One of my favorite things about roasted chicken is what can be found in the giblet bag... the chicken heart. My grandma Rich, who grew up in the 30's and thus never wasted anything, always cooked the giblets- including the heart. Why I like it so much... I don't know. I just do. Here was the following exchange between my hubby and me last night...
Me: "I'm going to cook the heart in there- you don't want it do you?" (It's always polite to make sure no one else wants it).
Nick: "No."
Me: "Have you tried it? They're good... you might like it"
Nick: "You won't eat green peppers, onions, or bananas - but you eat chicken hearts?"
Some people just don't know good eats...
For the record... Nick likes pickled herring- so I guess everyone is allowed one strange thing.
