Apparently the birds in the neighborhood do not read my blog....If they did, they would have known that it was closed due to ice- and now several inches of snow. In the picture above you can see our wonderful winter wonderland. Thankfully, both of our offices are closed today and we are fortunate enough to have power so we can enjoy the view warm and toasty from inside (we are one of the few that still have power today).
"Excuse me..tap, tap, tap...are you all open?"
A line begins to form in the tree out front. 
The finches were having an especially hard time because the perches and feeding holes are iced over. 
Turns out...they are flexible little birds and found a way to dangle on the ice and get some thistle seed.
