This is the window for the large room upstairs. It's the only window in the room- and the room is big- so I don't want to block out too much light. Also- we have it painted a neutral off white shade. I could go with a regular curtain...or I can do the valance/shade option. Would plain curtains be too boring?

I like the white curtains. All white rooms can be really classy depending on decoration... I really like white with pops of color. A bright turquoise might make it look beachy. Or maybe a bit of black and bright green. You could have a blast! Sorry for my long windedness!! :)
