Shoes and Marriage

If you were to ask Nick what I do that he finds annoying...if he were actually to answer... near the top of the list would be leaving my shoes in the middle of the floor. Another would be leaving the blanket in a heap on the sofa... or bringing my coffee cup that's been fermenting in the car for 3 days in to sit by the sink AFTER he's finished the dishes (he really likes it when I do that). I learned the shoe thing bothered him early on in our marriage when I came home to find one of my shoes by the front door (where I left it) and the other at the opposite end of the room. Apparently he may have tripped on it when he came in the door so he may have kicked it. Oops. Hey- I don't claim to be perfect and we all have our quirks.

Well, ladies and gentleman of the jury....I would like to submit this photo as evidence that my husband is also guilty of leaving his shoes in the middle of the floor (notice that mine are laying there by the chair). This is NOT a staged photo... it was taken exactly as it appeared.

As further evidence...I also submit this photo...to prove that these are indeed much too large to be my shoes... in case it wasn't obvious. I wonder if both my feet would fit in one of his shoes... hmm... an experiment for another day.

So, as you can see by this photographic evidence... my husband is GUILTY... GUILTY, ladies and gentleman, of picking up my bad habits!!
