It would appear that our house has become the local hangout for a gang of kitties. There has been one grey cat that has been trying to adopt us since we moved here. I'm not sure what is so wonderful about our house- perhaps this is where his old owners used to live. In any case, while he's cute, we don't really need a cat. Although it would have come in handy when we had the mouse in the pantry this winter.
Yesterday, when Nick and I were on our way to supper, we noticed that the grey kitty was back, and he had brought 2 more of his buddies. And they have been hanging around- much to Pepper's dismay- ever since. This morning they were serenading us on the front porch. And when I let Pepper out the back, they were on our back porch. I can't figure it out. I did pet the grey kitty once when he first arrived, but I've never given them any food or anything. I don't know why they like us so much...
Pepper was carrying on outside, so I went to look at there was one of the kitties on the roof of our apartment. All her hair was standing up like she was a tough dog- HA! Maybe if I leave her out there for awhile, she'll scare them off. (I tried to take a picture of the kitty and Pepper, but the battery in the camera was dead! DARN IT! It was pretty hilarious).
