Monsoon season in Indiana

Rain, rain, go away! Come again some other day!
Why is it that whenever one is having a good hair day- it must then rain and ruin it!
We've had about 5 inches of rain already today- and the worst of it is yet to come. They are predicting 8- 12 inches total between today and tomorrow. Roads are flooded- and the creeks are up over their banks. The creek had already flooded the road by the office when I left work today- I'm hoping it doesn't flood our actual office. I'll take a picture because I'm sure it will be lapping at our door by tomorrow afternoon! They are also predicting the Ohio River will reach the flood stage sometime tomorrow.
I remember last summer was so dry we'd do anything for a drop of rain. I guess we should have been more specific in our request that we didn't want it all at one time!
I guess I should have purchased a kayak this weekend at Bass Pro instead of the cute jean skirt.
